As the first and only manufacturer of gas capacitors type MKK and resin capacitors type MKP under Siemens Germany license in Iran, the company is a pioneer in producing low-voltage power factor correction capacitors.

EPCOS, as one of the largest manufacturers of capacitors and power factor correction equipment, was established in 1989 through a strategic collaboration between Siemens Germany and Matsushita Japan under the S+M brand and has been operating independently under the name EPCOS in Germany since 1999.
